Marshall Street offers online registration for disc golf tournaments. This takes the burden off the tournament director for collecting money and keeping a list of pre-registered players. As players sign up, a list is automatically generated of all pre-registered players. In addition, each time another player registers, the tournament director receives an automatic e-mail with that player’s information. Some players will still pay the TD cash or check directly. The TD can enter these players online, too, to keep all the pre-registered players on one list, and all their information (PDGA Number, addresses, Ace Pot, etc) in one place. There’s no charge whatsoever for adding players in this manner, and it helps the TD stay organized.

The system is versatile, too. Any number of options can be added to the registration form, including multiple divisions with different entry fees, Ace Pot, sponsorship levels and their costs, camping, and a host of other options –  Onsite camping add $5, Should we limit the field to 72?, or even whether you want chicken, beef or the vegan alternative at the players party. All of this computerized data gathering leaves the tournament director more time to concentrate on the important things, like ordering tournament fundraiser discs, and finding sponsors.

Clicking “Details” brings the player to a longer description of the event – basically whatever the tournament director wants to say. We can even put a link in this description of, say, your flyer on the PDGA’s schedule.

Marshall Street offers this service in two packages, or plans.

• The Simple Plan (5% Processing Fee)

Your tournament gets all the advantages of Marshall Street’s online registration for a 5-percent processing fee added to all online entry fees (including ace pots, camping, etc). So it costs the players 5 percent more, but it doesn’t cost the tournament director anything.

• The Marshall Street Funny Money Plan (No Processing Fees and 10% back on your Marshall Street Dollars)

This is for tournaments with Amateur payouts in funny money. Online registration is free if you agree to purchase at least $200 worth of Marshall Street dollars (funny money), generally awarded as the payout in Amateur divisions. The advantage is you only pay 90 cents for each Marshall Street Dollar. This gives AMs a much larger selection of prizes to choose from -- namely the 10,000 discs in our store.

Generally, we close online registration one week before the event and mail you a check for the total. The Marshall Street Dollars can be issued a number of ways, generally right after the event once we have the AM winners names and how much they won, as well as their e-mail addresses so we can notify them of their Marshall Street Coupon Codes.
